Meet the team
I believe our best future depends on a broader understanding of what drives human thought and behavior. Fields like evolutionary psychology and behavioral biology offer valuable insight into how many of our motivations were shaped over millions of years in environments very different from the modern world we live in today.
For me, this perspective encourages empathy, and personal responsibility. A better understanding of human nature can help us approach relationships, parenting, and community life with greater awareness, patience, and hope.
Because so much human talent, energy, and capital are directed through business activity, I believe business has an important role to play in supporting positive outcomes for people and society. Thoughtful leadership and long-term thinking can help direct resources toward solutions that benefit both communities and the natural systems that sustain us.
With significant declines in wilderness areas over the past century, investing in the restoration and protection of healthy ecosystems is one meaningful step forward. At the same time, integrating insights from science, ethics, and human behavior into education can help equip future generations with the awareness and decision-making tools needed to build a more stable, brighter future for all.
Our hope is that 27 Gifts can play a small part in supporting this vision, contributing in whatever way we can to benefit upcoming generations and those who will inherit the earth after us, while uplifting others through meaningful gestures along the way.
I began working with Jessy in Fall 2024 while I was a graduate student studying computer science at the University of Arizona. I was initially hired to build out 27 Gifts’ e‑commerce platform, a project that we first thought would take a couple of months but became my passion for the next year and a half. I formally joined the company as a co-founder in June 2025, and ever since I’ve been working to improve the experience of navigating our website and making our operations more efficient. It has been a pleasure bringing this vision to life, and I’m excited to help this business grow!
